- Tesla should drop their Q2 production and delivery results tomorrow at 8:45 a.m. ET. Wall Street wants ~385,000 deliveries.
- Tesla announced that Giga New York built the 600th PSU (Pre-assembled Supercharging Unit) and the 25,000th V4 Supercharger! Per Max de Zegher (@MdeZegher), Tesla Director of Charging, "Giga New York is near Niagara Falls, where Nikola Tesla first produced electricity with AC generators in 1895. This cemented AC as the standard for electrical grids worldwide. Now it’s the heart of global EV infrastructure production."
- Max also stated, "Only Tesla Charging has data on waiters, key to getting charging infrastructure right. This is how we're keeping the best customer experience, while pushing network utilization. Higher utilization leads to the cheapest average energy in the industry, financial sustainability, and re-investment into more new Superchargers."
- Samsung Renewable Energy Australia announced plans for a 100 MW/400 MWh battery storage project in Mangoplah, near Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. They use 108 Megapacks instead of Samsung's own battery storage. Construction is to start in 2027 and expected to be in operation by 2028 or 2029.

- Bloomberg (grain of salt) is reporting that Elon has assumed oversight of sales in Europe and the United States, while Senior Vice President Tom Zhu (@tomzhu_nz), based in China, now leads Tesla’s global manufacturing operations and sales in Asia. This is supposedly due to the departure of Omead Afshar (
). Tom’s direct reports include Hrushi Sagar (@hrushikesh2808) at the Fremont factory and Jason Shawhan (@jason_shawhan) at Giga Texas. Troy Jones (@troyrjones), Vice President of North American sales, now reports to Elon.- Tesla China has exclusively increased range and acceleration to the Model 3 and Y Long Range AWD:
Model 3 range increased from 713 km to 753 km (CLTC cycle). Acceleration 0-100 km/h improved from 4.4 seconds to 3.8 seconds. The price increased by 10,000 yuan ($1,400) to 285,500 yuan ($39,900).
Model Y range increased from 719 km to 750 km (CLTC cycle). Acceleration 0-100 km/h is at 4.3 seconds. No price change, remains at 313,500 yuan.
- PepsiCo Tesla Semi spotted in Firebaugh, California. Per Tesla Semi Lead, Dan Priestley (@danWpriestley), "High volume production of Tesla Semi will meaningfully accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy. On a per vehicle basis, Semi offsets more carbon & particulate emissions than our other vehicles by a large margin. All while being lower total cost than diesel trucks."
- Ricky Ip (@ipwaikrazy), Tesla APAC Regional Recruiting Manager, hosted teams from India & Thailand in Hong Kong last week.
- June China Numbers:
Tesla recorded 20,680 domestic insurance registrations during the week of June 23–29, the highest weekly total in Q2 2025. This is a 49.3% increase WoW, and a 46.7% improvement YoY.
Tesla delivered 15,210 New Model Y units and 5,470 Model 3 units during the week of June 23–29.
Q2 totals are still down 4.6% QoQ, and 10.9% YoY.
- June European Numbers:
Norway Tesla car registrations increased by 54% YoY. Model Y registrations rose 115.3% YoY to 5,004 units.
Spain Tesla sales grew 60.7%, reaching 2,632 units. Model Y sales surged 127.2% to 1,179 units.
Sweden saw Tesla registrations drop 64.4% YoY.
Denmark Tesla sales fell 61.6% YoY. Model Y sales decreased 31.2% YoY to 1,155 units.
In Finland over the last 6 months, Tesla registrations dropped by over 45% YoY, and registered fewer than 1,000 vehicles.
â– SPACEX:
- At Starbase, SpaceX may be converting the Ship transport stand into an adapter to static fire Block 2 Ships 37 and 38 to avoid delays now that Massey's is down. If so, this is going to be interesting to watch. Will it be installed on the Orbital Launch Mount? What about the Booster Quick Disconnect being converted to a Ship Quick Disconnect, or do we put them next to each other? Keep an eye out. In the mean time, @NASASpaceflight has posted a great article on what SpaceX my have up their sleeves. Link in the sources section.
- Last night and this morning, more Hold Down Clamps were installed at Pad 2's launch mount. This makes a total of 16 with 4 more to go.

Countdown to 180 (81 - Falcon 9, 0 - Falcon Heavy, and 3 - Starship):
Launch 85! Tuesday, 1st of July, at 5:04 p.m. ET, Falcon 9 MTG-S1 will launch from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A0) at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean. MTG-S1 (Meteosat Third Generation - Sounder 1) is a geostationary satellite launching July 1, 2025, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 from Cape Canaveral. Part of the ESA-EUMETSAT MTG program, it carries a hyperspectral Infrared Sounder (IRS) and Copernicus Sentinel-4 UVN spectrometer. The IRS scans Europe every 30 minutes and the Earth disc every 60 minutes, mapping temperature, humidity, and trace gases (e.g., ozone, CO, CO2, methane) with 4 km resolution. Sentinel-4 monitors air pollutants hourly. MTG-S1 enhances weather forecasting, nowcasting, air quality monitoring, and climate research. In geostationary orbit at 36,000 km, it complements MTG-I satellites, delivering 50 times more data than prior Meteosat generations. Thales Alenia Space, OHB Systems, and Airbus Defence and Space are key contractors.
Launch 86! Wednesday, 2nd of July, at 1:29 a.m. ET, Falcon 9 Starlink 10-25 will launch from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida. The booster will land on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean.

- Baylor University's Point-of-Need Innovations Center led its summer REU (Research Experiences for Undergraduates) students on a tour of The Boring Company's HQ in Bastrop, Texas. It was guided by TBC's Sr. Technical Recruiter, Patrick Dyer. The visit highlighted the company's operations, mission, history, and on-site tunneling projects. Patrick showcased diverse job roles spanning business, public relations, computer science, geology, and engineering.

- Jake Butler, Senior Partnerships Manager at SpaceX, announced that SpaceX and Salt Mobile successfully conducted Europe’s first Starlink Direct-to-Cell messaging test in Switzerland. Per Jake, "We are thrilled to demonstrate messaging capabilities with Salt in Switzerland and look forward to commercially supporting everyday connectivity and life-saving use-cases in regions here that are without connectivity today, while additionally providing resiliency during times of natural disasters or extreme events."
- Czech Railways announced starting this month, July, they will test Starlink on an InterPanter train in freezing conditions and up to 70°C, on routes from Brno to Prague and Olomouc, including the Svitava and Moravan lines. The three-month trial, in collaboration with the Czech Telecommunications Office, will evaluate connection stability, technological parameters, and passenger benefits. The results will determine potential Starlink integration across other trains. The antenna, installed on the train’s front car roof, integrates with the existing ČD WiFi and multimedia system, offering free passenger access.

- On the 23rd of June, X participated in the 2025 Senior Officials Meeting of the EU Internet Forum. This forum focuses on issues like online threats, child sexual abuse, and terrorism. The forum collaborates with tech firms to counter these issues. X's involvement also navigates the challenge of balancing safety with free speech.
- Today, X's Community Notes launched the AI Note Writer API that enhances X's fact-checking. This initiative uses a feedback loop where community ratings improve AI accuracy with an 18% bias reduction in content moderation with diverse perspectives.

- Morgan Stanley announced they provided xAI with $5 billion in debt financing, plus $5 billion in equity, totaling $10 billion to support Grok development, data center expansions, and more. The deal includes secured notes and term loans at 12.5% yield. This values xAI around $75 billion.
