Various Robotaxis in Austin by Adan Guajardo (@AdanGuajardo)
- Yesterday was the big day, and Tesla did not disappoint. The Robotaxi service was launched in Austin, Texas, with a small fleet of around 20 autonomous Model Ys operating in a 30-square-mile geofenced area downtown. The invite-only event gave influencers rides from 6 a.m. to midnight for a flat rate of... $4.20. Congratulations, Elon and the entire Tesla Team!
Safety monitors were in the passenger seats, but none of intervened during the entire event. We even got a view inside the monitoring room Tesla uses where remote teleoperators are ready in case of emergencies. None were needed. Early posts indicated everyone was blown away with the rides smooth user experiences. Tesla plans to scale up to 1,000 vehicles in Austin within months, with the fully driverless Cybercab slated for 2026.
Per Elon, "All your media, streaming and preferred temperature settings just work automatically when you get into a Tesla Robotaxi." Your vehicle settings automatically pair with the Robotaxi via your Tesla App!
Per Elon, "Super congratulations to the Tesla AI software & chip design teams on a successful Robotaxi launch! Culmination of a decade of hard work. Both the AI chip and software teams were built from scratch within Tesla."
Per Tesla's Autopilot and AI Lead, Ashok Elluswamy (@aelluswamy), "10 years in the making! Incredible work from the entire Tesla team to get to this milestone."
Per Tesla AI and Optimus Lead, Srihari Sampathkumar (@srihari__), "Tesla AI is the most hardcore AI team on earth. A decade of hard work on to building best AI software and hardware to start Robotaxi service for the public. Today establishes the new era of physical AI dominance for Tesla. So grateful to be part of this mission!"
Tesla has activated an official Robotaxi X account (@robotaxi) and webpage.

â– THE BORING COMPANY:
- A above pics and quote were posted by Resorts World Las Vegas today.
"One of the reasons clients and attendees love staying at our property: it gives you the best of both worlds.
Easy access to everything without being in the middle of the chaos of the Vegas Strip. Skip the long walks and arrive in style (and in just 2 minutes!). The Vegas Loop at the Las Vegas Convention Center is changing the game for trade shows and convention travel. What once took 25 minutes to walk now takes just 120 seconds underground in a Tesla. With four convenient stations connecting the new West Hall to North, Central, and South Halls, this high-speed, high-tech loop can move over 4,400 attendees per hour, making it one of the fastest ways to navigate the LVCC campus. Tap into the future of event transportation, welcome to the Vegas Loop."

â– NEURALINK:
- Neuralink's DJ Seo (@djseo) posted that the "Neuralink update will drop soon."
- Neuralink announced their new Neuralake platform built on Databricks’ Delta Lake. It simplifies managing complex, multimodal data from sources like histopathology, manufacturing, BCI sessions, and surgeries. It uses a lakehouse architecture with bronze, silver, and gold tables to organize raw, processed, and curated data.
Key features include scalable storage, ACID transactions, and a metadata-driven approach for data governance, supporting real-time insights and collaboration across teams. Neuralake has processed petabytes of data, reduced query times and improved decision-making for Neuralink’s BCI development. The article link published by Neuralink is in the sources section.
- Neura Pod's Ryan Tanaka (@RyanTanaka3 ) posted the first interview of Neuralink's 6th Patient, Rob Greiner (@greiner_ro52817). Neuralink's 6th Patient - Rob Greiner (@greiner_ro52817)
- Neuralink implant patient Brad Smith (@ALScyborg) posted the company is doing surgery in Phoenix, Miami, and Abu Dhabi (plus Canada) and that they provide you with two options:
Speech Restoration - Implant into the speech motor cortex to track attempts to talk.
