- Cybertruck reveal in Pennes-Mirabeau, France
- Tesla has posted hundreds of new positions across the company. Categories include manufacturing, legal, operations, software, but most are in service and sales. After the layoffs this year there was a hiring freeze and only positions with AI and Robotics were open. That has now changed.
- Last week a 10.8MW and 43MWh Megapack went live in Sendai, Japan, of the Miyagi Prefecture. Kanden Energy Solutions, of the regional electric utility Kansai Electric Power Company will manage the system.

- Tesla Store Manager, Ferran Guiu i Verdaguer, and Team welcoming Cybertruck to the store on Carrer Roselló, Barcelona.
- Tesla Korea is running a free exterior color campaign until the 21st of June if you order a Model 3 Long Range from 'inventory.' I may be lost in translation on the inventory part. If it is from stock inventory I would assume it is an across the board discount on the M3LR.
- According to Tesla's Jana Plamberger, a third Self Serve Test drive location has opened in Asten of upper Austria. "Thanks to the great demand at the two other Self Serve locations in Eberstalzell and Meggenhofen, we can now start in Asten directly at our Supercharger location in Frunpark with our third vehicle."
- Tesla's new Investor Relations, Travis Axelrod, has clarified with JP Morgan that "Mr. Musk is focused on having a strong enough voice at the company (via control of a sufficient number of voting shares) such that he could ensure a proper governance structure around the use of Al, given the not unreasonable assumption that Al could surpass human-level intelligence in the next several years."
- Tesla at London Tech Week 2024.
- Swedish banking platforms Avanza and Nordet have said they are letting investors vote on various Tesla Shareholder items, including Elon's $56 billion pay package. This happened because of the so many retail investors called and requested to vote.
Nordet said that Musk has made it clear that Tesla shareholders should have their votes heard in what could be the most crucial meeting in the company’s history.
- The office of Luxury Real Estate company Kateeoh have Powerwalls on full display to show their drive for sustainability and care for nature. Their office uses solar panels as well to reduce their carbon footprint and support a sustainable future.

■ xAI:
- The University of Memphis said Thursday it’s investing $1 million into its growing AI programs as part of an effort to help bring xAI to Memphis. Per the University's President Bill Hardgrave, "The arrival of xAI is a perfect fit with the technology innovation ecosystem of Memphis, which is centered around the University as a top-tier Carnegie R1 research institution. We have much to offer in terms of talent, workforce training, and cutting-edge research."
- JP Morgan ha said the following on xAI. "xAI was said in our meeting to be pursuing a fundamentally different Al opportunity set that does not conflict with Tesla's mission.
Tesla was said to be focused on so-called "real world Al", or the marrying of robotics and artificial intelligence, with Full Self Driving (FSD) being a prime example and its efforts to develop a humanoid robot, Optimus, being another.
xAI, by contrast, was said to be pursuing a very different approach to Al which is more generalized and focused on scientific discovery, with different problem sets, engineering tasks, and data requirements, resulting in different applications, end-users, and end-markets.
Another reason why xAI was said to not conflict with Tesla is because some Al engineers may be uncomfortable working on "real world Al" because of the safety implications of getting it wrong, in comparison to less consequential implications of mistakes or oversights in an Al-powered language learning model."
■ ELON NEWS:
- Elon will have a conversation with WPP CEO Mark Read at Cannes Lions 2024 on the 18th of June at 10 a.m. They will discuss the transformative power of technological innovation, how AI is reshaping creativity, business & society, and the future of X. Pretty sure it will be livestreamed on X.
- Elon is not happy with Apple and rightfully so. Tim Cook and Sam Altman announced that Apple will integrate ChatGPT into their devices later this year. Per Elon, "It’s patently absurd that Apple isn’t smart enough to make their own AI, yet is somehow capable of ensuring that OpenAI will protect your security & privacy! Apple has no clue what’s actually going on once they hand your data over to OpenAI. They’re selling you down the river. If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation."
- Posts about an Elon made phone started to run so after Apple's announcement. Warren Redlich (@WR4NYGov) posted that if Elon does do a phone X will partner with Samsung to create an X phone with an X OS, optimized for the X app, simple integration with Teslas, robotaxis, Optimus, Boring Company transit systems, and Neuralink, and lastly a direct connection to Starlink will be built in. Elon replied, "It is not out of the question."
What do you think? Will Elon will make a phone?
